Last of the Schoolmen, first of the English Reformers – John Wyclif

The first day of the New Year seems an appropriate moment to post a book about a man who marked another kind of transition: from the age of the Schoolmen to the age of the reformers of the Church. This public domain book by Lewis Sergeant was digitised from a copy a copy held in Spurgeon’s College library.

Lewis Sergeant [d.1902], John Wyclif. Last of the Schoolmen and First of the English Reformers. New York & London: G.P. Putnam’s Sons, 1893. Hbk. pp.377. [Click here to visit the download page for this title]
